2003 Reserve Chardonnay Our 2003 Reserve Chardonnay shows great complexity in aroma and flavor. Barrel fermentation and extended lees contact resulted in a lush, rich, generous wine. Aromas are more pear than apple, with strong notes of oak spice and vanilla. Flavors are apple-pear framed by vanilla oak with a nice long lingering caramelly finish. We like it now, and it will continue to improve for 2 to 4 years.
