DOGS

Little Missy is a half Rottweiler, half Vietnamese pot bellied pig mix. Her cool head, bold artistic vision, aerodynamic lines and low ground clearance have guided Sarah's Vineyard accurately through many difficult journeys.
She is both an irresistible force and an immovable object, and every visitor to Sarah's VIneyard finds her discourse stimulating and personable. Knowledgeable on a variety of subjects, she is seen above in a critical examination of our new fermentation vessel. Missy is about 6 years old.

Fendi is an elderly dog who, having reached a certain station in life, has opted for a well-deserved retirement. She is sweet, frail, and as she is permanently on vacation spends most of her time napping or playing croquette. Fendi is about 15 years old.
CAT
Turtle is a pleasant cat and loves people. In fact, he loves people too much, and is always getting into the Tasting Room or the warehouse, where he climbs all over the cases of wine and leaves little muddy paw prints all over the place. Given any attention, he will purr constantly. He is a good mouser.
PEACOCK

Peacock was a long-term member of the staff at Sarah's. Tough as nails and wily as a fox, this albino peacock survived many years despite the local predators. The peacock, sadly, passed of natural causes soon after Christmas 2006. He is missed.
PROPRIETOR
Proprietor Tim Slater is a reclusive, elusive former researcher and inventor forcibly jettisoned from Silicon Valley when the dot-com bubble burst, and carries a business card that reads “Mad Scientist (mad crazy, not mad angry)”. He appears on twenty five or thirty patents for various microscopic gizmos that nobody has ever heard of, and has founded and foundered through 3 or 4 Silicon Valley startups. He is most proud of having a culinary degree from the Cordon Bleu in Paris (France, not Texas) and having been in garage bands so incredibly lousy that he won “Worst Band in Santa Barbara” for three years in a row. He lives in Seattle and spends most of his time tending a pair of refugees from the Isle of Misfit Dogs.
